Addressing the Challenge in Dysplasia

Adolescent hip dysplasia is characterized by a hip socket that doesn’t sufficiently cover the femoral head, causing pain, reduced mobility, and early arthritis. Left untreated, it can significantly impact quality of life.

Current surgical dysplasia treatments are often invasive and require long rehabilitation. The Replasia 3D Shelf seeks to offer an alternative, less invasive treatment for certain types of dysplasia that may promote faster recovery, improved joint stability, while preserving more of the patient’s natural anatomy.

The 3D-Shelf Advantage

Less Invasive

The Replasia 3D Shelf, which can be implanted through an anterior surgical approach, is designed to be a less invasive alternative to many currently available surgical treatment options, with the potential to improve patient rehabilitation and treatment outcome.

Perfect Fit

The Replasia 3D Shelf aims to align with the patient’s unique bony and soft tissue anatomy. Our patented guide system is intended to enable accurate transfer from planning to the operating theatre.

Optimized Femoral Head Coverage

The Replasia 3D Shelf is a custom designed implant enhancing the femoral head coverage. Our patented implant solution aims at improving postoperative joint stability while minimizing the risk of impingement.

Joint Preserving

The Replasia 3D Shelf is engineered to be joint-preserving, as it is placed outside the joint capsule. This approach aims to maintain the integrity of the hip joint and keep options open for potential future treatments.
